Australia Post:

Strategic Planning workshop for regional account managers in Queensland.

The Australia Post Financial Services Division in Queensland was looking for a new direction in order to continue its well established and valued service to the local government sector in the face of increasing competition from Internet and other providers. The convening of a strategic planning workshop for the account managers from around the State was an excellent opportunity both to focus on common challenges and to reinforce team spirit.

The program was well met with enthusiasm and energy and the day was rated as highly successful in terms of providing senior management and the team with an exciting way forward.

Department of Local Government Queensland:

•  Review of compliance and performance issues in a remote local government area and report for the Minister on possible courses of action to address governance and managerial capacity.

• Reviews of the capacity of two particular Councils to continue to effectively carry out their role under the Local Government Act given certain events that gave rise to a loss of confidence by sections of their communities in their decision making.

Council of Mayors (South East Queensland)

Preparation of a submission to the Department of Local Government ,Planning, Sport and Recreation recommending principles and legislative frameworks for consideration in the review of the Local Government Act.

Residential Tenancies Authority, Queensland

Review of the Corporate Communications and Community Education Units for realignment of skills and role definition.

Urban Land Development Authority (Queensland)

Assistance with a review of processes and policy involving public infrastructure provision and funding.
